Glad you stopped in for another week of Delicious Dish Tuesday ~ a recipe meme where Alesha, Mary, and I share some of our favorite recipes, reader recipes, and a linky full of great recipes for you to enjoy!
Last week the kids and I joined my little sister for a fun day at the zoo. Summer is the busiest time for my husband at work so we don’t get the fun summer vacations that many enjoy. The kids were so excited to hang out with Aunt Jennie and enjoy the zoo!
So what does this have to do with a recipe hop? We found the hidden gem of restaurants at the Denver Zoo last week! Usually we have either brought our own lunch or been relegated to pizza, chicken fingers, hot dogs, or hamburgers. But on this last visit we ate at the Kalama Cafe just outside the new Elephant Passage and it was just amazing! The kids had a rice bowl with chicken and vegetables. Big sister also insisted on some edamame. My sister enjoyed a noodle bowl and I had chicken lettuce wraps. It was so much better than fried fat laden food that is offered elsewhere throughout the zoo.
Last week Tickled Pink shared her recipe for Asian Lettuce Wraps. I love the name her husband has for them and I can’t wait to try the recipe. They look JUST like the wraps from PF Changs!

I love the idea of lettuce wraps as they are a healthy alternative to carb laden recipes. It has been a while since I have made them, but I love my Sweet Garlic Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They are so yummy and so simple to make.
Now it’s your turn! What great recipe are you going to share this week?
