Delicious Dish Tuesday | Fruity Salsa

Thank you for joining us for another week of Delicious Dish Tuesday.  Each week Alesha, Mary, and I share with you some of our favorite recipes as well as feature some great recipes that were shared the following week.  The linky below is a great way to find new recipes as well as get introduced to wonderful food bloggers to follow!

I had some family priorities last week (mainly traveling to Nebraska for my niece’s high school graduation!) so I missed posting.  I hope you all checked out Alesha and Mary’s blogs in my absence.

I have to share that up until a few years ago, I thought fruit salsas (or any salsa with fruit in them) were weird.  I was a traditional salsa kind of gal.  I am not sure what changed, but now I love to experiment with my salsas.  There is something about the sweet, spicy, salty combination of fruit salsas that I really love now!

In a family version of the TV show Chopped (it was *legendary*) I created an avocado kiwi salsa that is one of my now favorite recipes.  It goes great with so many things, including chicken tacos.

Judee from Gluten Free A-Z Blog shared her recipe for Skinny Mango Salsa with the hop last week.  I love the addition of cucumber and mint.  It sounds and looks so fresh.  I can’t wait to try this one!

Since I didn’t post last week, I have to share with you my favorite recipe that was linked up.  This one comes from Amanda at Tickled Pink.  Her Well Dressed Salmon looks amazing.  Even though it doesn’t have fruit in the salsa, it does use a non-traditional salsa comprised of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onion.  This is definitely on my must-make list!
