Delicious Dish Tuesday | A New Adventure

Alesha and I are so happy to announce that we have a new member of our Delicious Dish Tuesday group of hosts.  For a while now Mary from Eat, Drink, and Be Mary has been sharing her delicious recipes with the hop each week.  We are always looking to reach new readers and bring in more great recipes to share.  We asked if she would like to host and were honored when she said yes.

Just a little bit about Mary: she is a 20-something year old, who has recently graduated college with a degree in Elementary Education.  She is a great cook and takes beautiful food photography {I have a lot to learn from her}.  You can find some of her great recipes and other musings by following her blog as well as following along on Pinterest and Instagram.

With the new addition comes a new button as well as a new “featured favorite” button for those whose’ recipes we have shared on DDT.

So what recipe caught my eye last week?  They were all amazing, but I was especially excited by Lindsay’s Crock Pot Beans and Chicken recipe from Broke and Bougie.  It is such a simple recipe, yet it looks and sounds delicious.  I also love that it fits in a clean eating plan.

It is Mardi Gras time, and of course, I am missing New Orleans.  My dad and I took a trip there during my last year of law school.  Not only was the culture, sites, and music amazing, but the food was TO. DIE. FOR!  My dad and I have been in search of the perfect Red Beans and Rice recipe ever.  This isn’t perfect, but is pretty darn good.  The post is kind of long with the story of our trip.  If you just wan the recipe, scroll to the bottom {though I hope you read and enjoy my story}.
