I have known Jamie, the owner of The Pat-a-Cake-Baby, for many years now. Her husband and I went to law school together back in Washington. When I was trying to make the decision about whether to cloth diaper my first child she offered some of the best advice on the process as well as what to buy.
The Pat-a-Cake Baby is an up and coming baby accessories company that was first created by Jamie McGinnis-Green, a work-at-home mom that longed for stylish baby products, as well as a creative outlet. Jamie started creating baby necessities that weren’t only trendy, but practical as well.
Jamie began creating other products and soon needed the assistance of local seamstresses as her company and product line grew. The Pat-a-Cake Baby continues to manufacture all products by local seamstresses in order to support and honor fair labor practices and our local economy. After their products are sewn, they are sent to their “packager”, Diana. Diana looks every thing over a second time and puts the final touches on the products. Finally, Jamie oversees every last product for a triple check and prepares them for shipment.
The Pat-a-Cake Baby retails all over the world and continues to double retail accounts on a monthly basis.
When I saw the picture of her with Joey Lawrence, I was so jealous. I mean, “whoa”! She has really turned her passion into an amazing business that allows her to stay at home with her three beautiful kids!
The first item I ever received from The Pat-a-Cake Baby was a wet bag. These are seriously the BEST wet bags you could ever buy! Check out my old review here. And keep reading because below you have the chance to win one!
After the birth of Baby Brother Jamie sent me one of her trademarked Diaper Diddies® as well as an adorable appliqué onesie. Their Diaper Diddies® are perfect for parents on the go! They double as a diaper/travel size wipey case holder and changing pad. It is the perfect size to fit in any of my diaper bags and is easy to grab out and take with me into the bathroom when we are out and about. It measures roughly 21″ long and 12″ wide when used as a changing pad. As a clutch, it measures 12″ wide and 7″ long (it folds into thirds). A snap fastens the clutch so your goodies stay inside, even when packed full.
The fabric is super soft which is great when I have to change Baby Brother on those hard, cold, plastic changing tables. And of course, their plush, designer fabrics are super cute and sure to impress! We got ours in the Dino Dudes fabric and get compliments everywhere we go.
The onesie that we were sent was so adorable! Baby Brother looked super cute with his Groovy Guitar tie and I knew the minute we got it we would use it for a photo shoot!
These onesies are truly made with care and the extra steps are taken to make sure they outlast your continued wear. The appliqués are fused onto the onesies and then zig-zag stitched to reduce fraying of edges.
