Kozee Kabootees Cloth Diaper #NewFluff Review

Baby brother is now a month old and we have him in cloth most of the time {yes, I admit to still using sposies when we go out and about}.  I am loving the newborn cloth stash that I have for him and can’t believe I went without newborn diapers when we had our daughter.  I was brand new to cloth diapering with her and honestly had no idea what I was doing.

Newborn cloth diapers are great because they have much less bulk then you would get if you were using one-size cloth diapers.  I look back on pictures of my daughter from the first few months and the giant fluffy butt is hilarious!

It is true that you will only use newborn cloth diapers for the first few months so there is the added investment with them.  But there are so many great re-sale sites out there, and since they are smaller, they usually cost less.

I love working with small US companies, and another great one I have found is Kozee Kabootees.  Stacee and Beth are two Stay at Home Moms with four kids between them. They have a successful Etsy shop offering cloth diapers and nursing covers.

This diaper consist of a 100% cotton exterior with a hidden PUL layer and microfleece/ microchamois inside, for a soft comfortable feel against baby’s bottom. Due to the cotton exterior, these diapers are not recommended for long time wear (long trips) or overnight as they run the risk of wicking and leaking through.

This great newborn diaper is an AI2 (all-in-2) style diaper and fits from approx. 7 lbs to approx. 14 lbs (baby brother is approximately 9 lbs 10 oz in these pictures).  They come with a snap in prefold insert which is great because you never lose it or have to take the time to match up which insert goes with which diaper.

The newborn diapers sell for $13.00 which makes creating a newborn stash economically feasible.  Kozee Kabootees also make one-size pocket diapers and you can check out Bri’s review of them on her toddler over at Eco Baby Mama Drama.
