This Valentine’s Day has been especially special for our family. Yesterday we welcomed our son into the world!
We had a scheduled repeat c-section so I knew I wouldn’t be at home or at my daughter’s daycare Valentine’s Day party. Lucikly, the conversation sugar cookie recipe that I shared with you last week was so simple to make that I was able to make them ahead of time. I was told they were a huge hit with the kids!
My husband wanted to make sure that Valentine’s Day was special for our daughter. He isn’t much of a cook but he wanted her to have a special breakfast. Luckly for them, Great Value cinnamon rolls are super easy to make. He made sure to get up before her and pop them into the oven. She was so excited to tell me about her and daddy’s “romantic” breakfast when the arrived at the hospital to visit me and baby brother. I loved that with the help of Great Value refrigerated cinnamon rolls my no-bake husband was able to bake up a special breakfast and help our daughter feel special despite so much attention being on her brother right now.
They also wanted to make sure that my Valentine’s Day was special despite being in the hospital. My husband and daughter made me these beautiful hand-painted picture frames. They have been the envy of all the nurses who have checked in on me today.
Did you have a sweet Valentine’s Day? How do you find simple ways to make moments special?
