Wordless Wednesday – A Visit with Great Grandparents {Linky}

Well, for the first time in a long time, my post is not going to be so wordless.  If you feel misled by the title ~ just look at the pictures and don’t read the text 1x1.trans Wordless Wednesday   A Visit with Great Grandparents {Linky}

This past weekend we took a trip to Norman, Oklahoma to visit my grandparents.  They are in their 90′s and we wanted Monkey Girl to visit them.  I have a short time until my due date so we got this trip in right before FAA rules wouldn’t allow me to fly any more.

She was ready for take off and enjoyed the plane ride.

In looking for toys for her to play with my grandmother found these blocks that used to be my dad’s.

My grandparents both volunteer at the local natural history museum.  They loved taking her around and showing her all the neat stuff.  She loved laying under the mammoth’s foot.

And the dinosaur bones were a huge hit! {She is making her dinosaur face}

My husband helped my grandpa figure out the remote for his new big TV just in time for Monkey to cheer on our team {too bad we lost}.

    I love the picture of her under the mammoth’s foot – I could have never got my two year old under that… she woulda thought it would stomp her for sure, hehe. And how fun that toys from when your dad was little were played with by your little girl!

    What a neat experience for you all. I am sure your grandparents were so thrilled to see her again, and at such a fun age too! :) The museum looks awesome, and I think it’s so neat that your grandparents volunteer there! You got some great shots for sure.

    What a fun visit! My kids only have 3 great grandmas living–all the great grandpas have passed away–and they love visiting them!
    Is your daughter signing “airplane” in the first picture?

    • Amanda says:

      Amy – she and her daddy are actually “throwing the bull horns” and saying “let’s rock this plane” but I googled how to sign airplane and am going to teach her that now :)
