Pregnancy Journal – Week 32

With the holidays this post is a little late.  Even though it will be just a few more days until my Week 33 post I wanted to get this up.  I wish I would have done a week by week pregnancy journal with my daughter.  It is fun for me to watch how much I change and my family says they really enjoy it too.

Baby’s Size: Honeydew Melon (19 in., 4.5 lbs.)

Symptoms: I have been having back pain and I am sure it is here to stay until delivery due to my size.  However, I was able to get an amazing massage from a friend who is the best massage therapist in the world (yup – I said it and I believe it!).  She is faculty at a local massage school so I knew I was getting proper treatment.  I am not able to afford to get massages weekly, but this is something I will be doing as often as I can from now until delivery!

Weight Gain: 12 lbs (2 lbs).  Considering the baby grew 0.6 lbs this week I am quite impressed with a 2 lb weight gain over the Christmas holiday (I partook in quite a few cookies!).

Movement:  I can tell things are getting tight in there for him.  I feel what I assume are elbows and heels pressed out quite a lot.  It looks pretty funny!

Thoughts from Monkey Girl:  She still loves to sing to him every night before bed and give him hugs every morning.  We chose not to do Christmas presents for him this year since he wasn’t born (and I didn’t want to do extra shopping and wrapping).  However, some family members got him little things (mainly clothes) and she just loved opening the presents for him.  She would then hold it up and say “Brother will look so cute in this.  Thank you so much!”  I love my polite little girl
