Baby’s Size: Eggplant (9 in., 1.7 lbs.)
Symptoms: I am feeling great! I still want to eat all the time but I have found that as long as I eat regular small snacks I do ok.
Weight Gain: 5 lbs (up 2.5 from last week). I am trying to get to the gym when I can (especially due to my cravings, see below) and am hoping that the weight gain is mainly in the belly area. Here is my post from last week, what do you think?
Cravings: Chocolate. I am usually not a sweets eater so it is weird for me to eat a lot of sugar. However, lately I have been craving chocolate like crazy. So much so that I am even eating the crappy Halloween chocolate that we have around. Don’t get me wrong, we buy decent treats for the trick-or-treaters but I am kind of a chocolate snob and really like dark chocolate. When my cravings hit late at night I have been good so far and haven’t run out to the store to buy chocolate. I have, however, started searching online for great chocolate, lol. Last night I found this great company called Tradecraft that sells Fairtrade Organic chocolate. So not only is it organic, but it carries the Fairtrade mark which guarantees that a fair price which covers the cost of sustainable production, an extra premium was paid to invest in community projects, they followed defined standards for the health, and social and economic welfare, of producers as well as defined standards for the protection of the environment. Sooooo… this means that when I buy their super great dark chocolate bars I am also helping to build communities in developing countries….. yep, gotta love the internet, chocolate, and a pregnant woman!
Food Aversions: Nothing new.
Movement: He is moving more and more. He doesn’t kick real hard real often, but he has given a few big kicks (or elbows sometimes it feels like) that I think Monkey Girl and hubs will be able to feel from the outside!
Sleep: Still having a hard time getting comfortable. I am so over this part of it!
Thoughts from Monkey Girl: Speaking of feeling movement, she said the funniest thing the other day. I was telling hubs how pretty soon Monkey Girl will be able to feel little brother kick. Her response: “After brother kicks me I will kick him.” Gotta love 2 year old logic!
