I like to be clean, I don’t like messes, and I don’t like germs. This carries on over to my children as well. Yes, there *is* a time for messy fun!! And I *do* love that!! But when it’s not time for messy fun, I want myself and my kids to be clean.
My kids and I take a shower every morning. When we come home from the hospital with a new baby, we use the baby bath tub for a few weeks. But as soon as Baby can hold their head up well, they join me in the shower. Bath tubs are hard work, I think.
And one thing that can be especially messy are those big, poopy, blow out diapers. At home or out and about, they are a mess! Sometimes the best way to clean up after a big blow out, to both get baby clean, and keep mommy clean, is to put Baby in the bath and wash them off. That’s not always easy to do if you’re out and about. Who takes that big plastic tub everywhere with them? And who wants to drag it into the store, fill it, wash baby, clean the tub, and take it back out to the car? NOT ME!
But I also want me and Baby to be clean… What to do? What to do?
Thank goodness there is the new Puj Flyte!
It’s a great, small, compact bath tub that you can take on the go. It folds up so you can throw it in the car and it doesn’t take up much space. Then, you can take it in, unfold it, stick it in the sink and wash Baby’s messes right off!
It’s an awesome idea, and a great concept! I think it’s something that *could* work great! Not only would it work great out and about for those BIG messes, but it’d be awesome to use at home too! The biggest pain about those plastic bath tubs is that, while they claim to fit in the sink, they don’t. At least not in our sinks. So in order to use them, I have to bend over the tub. It gets tiring. Using a bath tub in the sink saves a lot of back pain for sure!
Now… I really do like the idea of this bath tub! I like that it’s small, compact, and easy to take along! However, it is not made for every sink. Because it is made to fold up, it’s a soft plastic. So it also folds up in our sink. It doesn’t cradle Baby in our sink like it does in the above picture.
This is what the tub is supposed to sit like on the sink:
Here, Daddy J is holding it up:
But, when he let go, with Little Man in it, it fell into the sink and he sat like this:
With it propped up like that, we could still easily wash him off. It just isn’t the way it was intended to be used. If our sink was narrower, I think it would have worked great. This is in our Kitchen sink. Our Bathroom sink is narrower, but it’s actually a lot smaller, and the faucet is lower. It didn’t work in there either.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this item. I think it’s a great concept. And I love that it’s portable, folds up small, and easy to use. It’d be a great help for BIG messes while out and about. However, for use in our home, it is not ideal. It’s worth a try though! It helps save those back aches from bending over the bath tub.
