Oral Irrigator from ToiletTree

I have two dentists in my family so I have been told the importance of flossing by more than just my dentist on many occasions.  The problem is, I hate doing it and I seem to find every excuse not to. When I was given the opportunity to review the Oral Irrigator by ToiletTree I was excited to give it a try and see if it could help my mouth out!

1x1.trans Oral Irrigator from ToiletTree

I wasn’t familiar with an oral irrigator before receiving this item, but I have to say it is a pretty cool product!  The oral irrigator is filled with water.  You can choose a setting that you prefer (normal, soft, or pulse) and the irrigator shoots a stream of water that can reach even the hardest places between teeth. The head to the irrigator concentrates the water into a powerful stream that helps remove plaque as well as any food particles etc that may not have been reached by everyday brushing.

True to form, I didn’t try it out right away after receiving it.  I thought it might be a lot like flossing ~ time consuming and uncomfortable ~ so it just sat on my bathroom counter.  After receiving my weekly pregnancy email that touted the virtues of proper oral care during pregnancy, I put on my big girl pants and gave it a try.  Well, it was a little uncomfortable, but so long as I remembered to put it right at my gum line it wasn’t too bad.  After using it my teeth felt really clean!

The irrigator is rechargeable so there is no need to worry about batteries. ToiletTree has re-engineered the irrigator so that each unit will last 45 + days before you have to plug it in for it to be recharged!  The canister to fill with water is removable so it is easy to keep clean without the worries of water getting nasty inside of it.  And it even included multiple heads so that my husband and I can have our own and not have to share.
