SUPER WHY is a breakthrough preschool series from Out of the Blue Enterprises designed to help kids ages 3 to 6 with the critical skills they need to learn to read, as recommended by the National Reading Panel (alphabet, word families, spelling, comprehension and vocabulary). The standout, imagination-stimulating series focuses on the adventures of four fairytale friends who transform into reading-powered superheroes.
Last week they released a brand new DVD called “Super Why: Around the World Adventure.” My daughter loves to read (well, pretend to read and be read to – she’s only 2) and she really likes this show.
The video contains three family friendly, education filled episodes. All three episodes are adventure packed and perfect for your little explorer. I absolutely love how each episode focuses on creating solutions to their problems and finding the answers through words, letters, and stories in the books they read.
Bonus features on the DVD include interactive games, music videos, printable activities and coloring pages, and resources for parents! I absolutely love that PBS Kids programming always has information for the parents to help their children learn and grow while watching the shows offered. This material really helps me, as a parent, allow the lessons they learn through watching the episodes really resonate through our play later on.
