We are over half way through the Eat From Your Pantry Challenge and I have to say I am really impressed with how we have been doing so far. Yes I still go to the store, but I have been spending so much less than usual. Through organizing my pantry and freezer I have found so much food that I had previously stocked up on and just forgot we had.
Through the challenge I have been doing a better job than usual with meal planning. This has prevented my mid-week grocery store trips. I love being able to go just once a week! This week we spent $35.89 (plus got a $2 Catalina for our next trip) at the grocery store and got:
1 dozen organic eggs
Organic butter
5 Totionos Pizzas (not a necessity by any means, but they were on great sale with coupons)
String cheese
2 lbs bananas
2 lbs kiwi
1 lb strawberries
4 Annie’s Mac and Cheese
4 Campbells chunky soups (another great coupon deal)
2 condensed tomatoes soup
2 containers grape tomatoes
