I love to garden! There is nothing better than being able to pick every ingredient for your dinner salad from a garden you grew. I guess I should clarify, I love to {vegetable} garden. Don’t get me wrong, flowers are beautiful, but I don’t seem to have the touch to keep them looking beautiful. But give me tomatoes, peppers, and raspberries and my thumb is as green as it gets.
Usually by this time of winter I have run out of all the homegrown produce that I have either frozen or canned. I start to get that itch to dig in the dirt and work on the beginnings of an even bigger garden… but alas, the ground is still frozen. I guess I will just have to daydream for a few more months!

There is nothing better than watching the first sprouts come up through the ground!
And as the plants get bigger you can start to imagine what the final product will look!
This is a picture of my dad in our garden this past summer.
This is our daughter at a few months old with some monster zucchini!
Every year we make the garden bigger, and bigger, and bigger. We are always coming up with new vegetables we want to try and new ways to grow them. Now that I am a Pinterest junkie I started searching for and pinning some awesome new ideas for the garden this year!!

I am also dreaming of Spring! Digging in the dirt is also an anti depressant, too!

I have wanted to garden since I moved into my house 2 years ago but haven’t even started trying to find out how- it’s so overwhelming & we don’t have a lot of soil- but some of those hanging ideas would work well for me so it may be time I learned how to do this once & for all!
