The Beatles do Lullabies

Ever since Monkey Girl was bornshe slept in her own room (well, until she wakes up and decides she wants tosleep with us, lol).  We have always puther to sleep with classical music children’s CD’s.   I read a lot about child development andclassical music while pregnant, plus it soothes her to sleep.  However, many times she wants me to sing her lullabiesbefore she is put in her crib and since there are no words to the classicalmusic I end up singing one song while another is playing on the CD.

I love being able to sing along with the “classical music”that we have been able to play for Monkey Girl after I was sent the BeatlesBaby Blanket Music to review.   I didhowever realize quite quickly that I didn’t know a lot of the lyrics to myfavorite Beatles songs, but I just make them up as I go.  My favorite three songs are actually the lastthree on the CD – Here Comes the Sun, Let it Be, and Blackbird – and mostnights she is asleep long before then. Instead, she gets to hear me sing about how I get high with a littlehelp from my friends and how its been a hard days night and I’ve been workinglike a dog J
