Kid Puzzles is run by Marvin and Margaret Jack out of Corvallis, Oregon. They make heirloom quality hand painted wooden puzzles that can be personalized with your child’s name. Marvin and Margaret started as a young family making toys and puzzles for their own children in the mid 1980′s. One thing led to another and their hobby grew into what they do for a living!
All of Marvin and Margaret’s puzzles are made from a maple-faced hardwood laminate and coated with durable, non-toxic(lead and cadmium free) paints. They also finish of of their puzzles with 2 coats of a hard, non-toxic water based finish. These puzzles are heirloom quality and made to last for generations!
Obviously the picture above isn’t the exact product I received. I try my best to keep Monkey Girl’s name private. However, other than the name, this is the exact puzzle we received! I contacted Kid Puzzles about their Gardening with Vegetables and Worms puzzle. I am very passionate about gardening and am so excited to share that with Monkey Girl. I am so excited to have her in the garden with me in the years to come. I thought it would be a great learning tool to have a puzzle with different vegetables (and worms!) to help her learn. Monkey Girl is only 14 1/2 months, so she is still a little young to understand the concept of a puzzle, but she loves playing with this. I will be working and she will come up to me saying “worm” with one of the worm pieces
For the ABE 2.0 prize package, Kid Puzzles is offering one of their Puzzle Stools! The wood puzzle in the puzzle stool is easily interchangeable. Children grow and change…Their puzzle should too! (you can order multiple puzzles for the same stool!)
The Puzzle Stool is designed to be both strong and sturdy. The hardwood stool legs have non-slip rubber leg tips that angle out and attach by bolt and mounting plate which means that you get a toy that is solid and less prone to slipping or tipping.

What a fantastic idea to use the stools as a learning tool… with abc's and such.
I love how colorful the lettering is on the stools, especially on the Starry Night backdrop because they really pop!
I love that they are practical and educational.
